Forum: 50 Years of Great Science in Barus and Holley

50 years of scienceNumerous professors will take part in a Commencement Forum discussion titled "50 Years of Great Science in Barus and Holley." Over the last 50 years, Barus and Holley has been the home of notable research accomplishments, Nobel Prize winners, and National Academy members. Speakers will discuss the the changes in physics and engineering research at Barus and Holley over the last few decades.

 

Speakers include Leon Cooper, director for the Brain and Neural Systems; Thomas J. Watson, senior professor of science; Rod Clifton, University emeritus professor; and Meenakshi Narain, professor of physics.

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Metcalf Research Laboratory, Friedman Auditorium, Room 101, 190 Thayer St.
